An Update from Shelli (Bock) Mills
|
| |
|
"We are in the midst of an adoption from Guatemala right now, but should have the baby, a darling little boy, in the next 6 months. This will be our 4th child. We have 3 biological children; a ten-year-old boy, and girls 8 and 4. We are all very excited about our newest family member, and are waiting rather impatiently!
We have had a very busy year. In June, my husband and I purchased an automotive repair shop, Cooper Automotive, in Claycomo, MO. I am no longer teaching and instead help out there in the office a few days a week. Other than that, I get to be a very, very busy mom! I absolutely love it!!!"

Phil Gross Earns Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology
|
|
|
"It's hard to believe that it's been 15 years
already! For the past few years I have been working
full time and going to school at CMSU. In December I'll
graduate with a BS in Rehabilitation Psychology. More
recently, I have worked for the state helping clients
who have mental illness, mental retardation, and physical
disabilities. With my Rehabilitation degree I will be
working specifically with individuals who have disabilities
that are vocationally significant. As far as my personal
life: I'm not married and do not have any kids. The
only addictions I have are watching Trading Spaces and
listening to a radio broadcast called Focus on the Family
and jogging 3-4 times a week if at all possible. Also,
I'm living in Warrensburg near CMSU until I graduate
in December. "

An Update from Tom Robertson
|
| |
|
"My wife, Angel, and I just had our second child,
Simon. Right now I'm spending more time at home to help
with the kids than I am going to parties. I am currently
living in Omaha, NE and will be a Dean of Students at
Lewis and Clark Middle School this year. I taught middle
and high school for 10 years and was a Student Council
sponsor, coach and volleyball club director. I was looking
at the memorial page and I was really saddened to hear
of the losses. Please tell everyone I said hello and
to drop me an email or call if they want to catch up."

Sincerely,
Tom Robertson

Scott Headings sends 15 year update to the Class of 87
|
|

|
"It’s been adventurous and a whirlwind for the last
15 years. Unfortunately I have not been able to attend any
of the reunions, but I intend to make the 20 year. After leaving
high school I entered the U.S. Navy where I served as an Anti-Submarine
Warfare Operator, flying in the S-3A
ASW aircraft from the USS
Nimitz aircraft carrier. I served for about 3 ½ years
and left the Navy 7 days before the Gulf War started. It was
a fun and exciting tour, but the military was not for me.
I met my first wife during the early part of my tour in San
Diego. We had a boy, Spencer,
who is now 12. I met my second wife before I left the Navy.
We had a boy, Schyler,
who is now 10. We moved back to Missouri, down to Springfield.
We moved back and forth between San Francisco and Missouri
several times over a couple years. We separated after realizing
that we both had totally different goals and desires for life,
she wanted the city life, I wanted the country life. I moved
back to Kansas City in the late summer of 1993. I met my current
wife Lindy, who is an OPHS graduate as well. She has 2 girls,
Shayline
and Alyssa, 14 and 12. We took a vacation to Great Falls,
Montana where we got married in 1994. We have been happily
married for 8 years now. We will have our first child between
us arriving in late December. We both had the desire to live
in Montana, so in May 1998, we made the move to Helena, MT.
We lived in town for about a year, and then put a house on
some property we purchased a few years before. It is in the
mountains in between Helena and Great Falls, truly heaven
on earth.
During my stint in the Navy I acquired some skills with computers,
which I was able to apply to civilian jobs. After working
many positions in the computer and networking field I have
gradually moved up to my current position as a Wide Area Network
Engineer, working with Cisco routers for a company that offers
a Voice over IP product for residential long distance. Lately
we have been keeping busy trying to get our ISP business going,
which is going pretty good. We offer low cost internet access.
We call our service LogonFROG.net. The FROG meaning “Fully
Rely On God”. We chose that because God has and continues
to truly bless and provide for us.
That is about it, a few details in between that I will not
bore you all with. I would love to hear from anyone from the
class. Write us any time at countryfolks@logonfrog.net.
